Roawenwood: Design & Craft

Ohhh, another grid hunt.  Yay for you right?  Get another lovely item offered up for free that you can get this time geared more towards couples.  To be honest I’m not quite thrilled with what I put in there and I’m probably going to make something new to place in it over the next week or so.  The hunt is about a month long so if you get the first one, come check back later you might get something else too.  Of course I’ll announce a change if I do here on the blog so you can find out.  *chuckles*

So that makes three hunts that I am a part of currently.

The Lovebirds Couples hunt, The Gorean Grid Wide Hunt, and the Fall Fun Hunt.

All three freebie packages are near/around the landing point so you have lots of presents to pick up if you want.

Happy Friday!  Everyone always looks forward to the weekend and I figured I’d kick off the weekend with a special little treat for my groupies.  Now through Sunday evening I will have 12 different chores packaged up for a 50% discount up at the landing point on the group discount boards.  So if you’ve been thinking about picking some up now is the perfect time to.  To receive the discount you have to be a part of the in world group Roawenwood, but really I don’t make it too awful difficult.  I keep the group open enrollment… so you can stay in it or not really.  So why do I make them group only discounts?  I dunno… because I like to be a pain?  Maybe I like to think of rewarding folks that take the time to be a part of it.  Anyhow….

On with other news…. Tomorrow starts the Gorean Grid Wide Hunt, and I’ve talked about this a bit already so I’m not going to get too involved in it.  There’s four different things inside the lil sun that I have placed out.  It is a lot of stuff since a couple of the pieces have multiple parts to them.  It is set out for sale already but don’t get too far ahead of yourself, the actual hunt doesn’t start until tomorrow so not everyone may be done or prepared out of all the store participating.  Enjoy!

The last tidbit?  I just couldn’t wait to put out the new outfit… I know… I should learn patience but that is one thing I’ve never really had a whole lot of.  So the Volupia outfit is now for sale at the landing point.  Semi-transparent and barely there I think it looks pretty good.  I think this is another one of those outfits that isn’t real ragged looking and can be worn whenever you’re in the mood.  Perfect for tavern girls in my opinion too!

Have you noticed lately that I’ve been a little hyper?  I think it is a combination of lack of sleep, and a few other things but wow I was shocked the other day to stumble across a blog that had the limited edition Midice silks and kirtle sets pictured in one of their posts!

I think that Chic had barely finished the post before I found it… it is sort of a funny story really, (and hers on the blog is pretty cool too), I was wandering the web trying to think of something to make for the Gor hunt… I had a couple things but I wanted something else too… so I decided to check my favorites in my browser.  Links come and go quickly just like stores move round in Second Life faster than you can keep up with the landmarks in your folders.  So I clicked on one of the fashion feeds, and right there… the second one on the front page was a very lovely lady posed in my silks!

Can you imagine really?  I was floored… I near fainted really.  Nervously I clicked on the link, wincing the whole time going… “oohh wow….”  You see, I don’t know if ya’ll know this but I’m pretty humbled when I stumble across something like that.  I really don’t expect to see it.  I love creating and I get so wrapped up in my workshop working or my nose buried deep in a program working on textures that when I see someone enjoying or liking my stuff I get all excited.  So silly but it is part of the fun of the whole thing, especially when you don’t expect it!

So I left a little comment and the funny thing is they were going to send me a notecard to let me know I’d been featured but they hadn’t even been able to get that far cuz I already had found it.  *laughs!*  It was nice and I’m so glad that folks are enjoying the offering in the lucky chairs this month.  Check out the Chic at Phil’s Place Blog, they do regular posts on fashion, freebies and hunt items.

Woot!  They did a lil blurb about my prize for the fall hunt too!  LOL  What a week… Happy Friday!

Well, not exactly.

I said I was going to put out one of the Volupia outfits for the Gor hunt and I am, but not quite the way I had first intended.  Instead of putting out one of the semi-transparent sheer colored versions I came up with something even naughtier.  (( you know as a side note… it always seems like I try to come up with something naughtier for these hunts, go figure. )) Anyhow… I came up with a netted version of the camisk and it is going to be the free outfit that is part of the Gorean Grid Wide Hunt package.

The reason I say package is because I always end up putting more than one thing into the Gorean hunt giftie item.  This time I have 4 different things in there, and two of them have multiple pieces so really it is more than just 4.

I’m not going to give away the other items in there… it isn’t as much fun.  I will apologize that for those who don’t like to show off a whole lot of skin… well, the outfit that is in there… it doesn’t leave a whole heck of a lot to the imagination!

I think part of it is that recently I’ve gotten a couple comments that I should come up with something comparable to what I made last hunt… the Naughty Bits camisk because it showed off more of the body.  Most of my things really don’t…. well I think I met that challenge.  *brushes her hands off*

Have more in the works (of course) and since I’m not using the Volupia livery in the hunt, I may just release it a lil sooner than I had planned.

The Gorean Grid Wide Hunt begins August 8th, and I’m #14 out of something like 90 stores, so be ready!
