I’ll bet you didn’t know that Roawenwood is going to be three years old in October.
I’ve been pretty quiet lately because this has been on my mind a lot.
Wow huh? Roawenwood began under a different name the third week of October in 2006, three years ago… I rebranded shortly after becoming the name I have now and stuck with it through it all. I started out on a small little plot even though I was pretty new to SL, I just couldn’t help myself.. I wanted to create and see if I could make this store thing work. It’s amazing what I’ve accomplished and what has come around over that time period. I am so very glad to still be doing well and it’s probably shocking I haven’t run out of things to say or do!
I am trying to come up with some appropriately good things for the month of October…. any and all ideas are welcome though I do have some myself already.
The monthly picks contest prize is going to be upped for the month…. I am mulling over a contest or two…. some new releases, and maybe one or two other things.
Three years!
Time really flies.

I decided to change out the Midnight Mania prizes today. I have two boards… usually in one I place a furniture or landscaping type of thing, and in the other I generally place a piece of clothing.
Today I put a set of 1 prim flowers for the landscaping, it is one single sculptured prim that looks like 8 flowers. It’s a medium sized ground cover that is copy/modify so you can use it over and over again or try to resize it. Technically you could add your own plant textures too creating your own stuff if you have them. It is of course no transfer. Sorry *grins* but that shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. *chuckles*
For the clothing I put one of the “In Stitches” camisks/tops in there. I chose the rosie colored one. I kind of like that one and wear it on occasion, I thought it would be a nice offering for now. I may try to come up with something that is done specifically for the MM boards but since I do that for the Lucky Chairs I haven’t really pursued it.
Both boards are set with a target of 150, not too awful high really.
If you wanna win, just head down to my store and slap the board… invite your friends and hopefully you’ll reach the target. Good luck!

I’ve always loved certain styles of clothing, or cultures. I know that this is probably nothing like something that would have been worn, maybe it would have been but a set that I just finished up releasing this past week is called “Andromeda” after the princess in the Greek myths. I have had a weird love of Greek mythology since I was in about 6th grade, and there have always been certain stories of course that stands out.
When I was making this up, that name stood out for me and stuck. Only available in four colors because I didn’t want to dilute the intent behind the set. I created it to be more regal, something that even though it is not overtly fancy it stands out as something more. On a Gorean note the thing that popped out at me was the outfits of the girls that accompanied the Lady Sabina in Slave Girl of Gor before she was captured. Girls in long flowing white gowns, obviously high slaves, with gold jewelry accompanying the outfit, so that is my Gorean reference… I won’t paste a quote, it isn’t that hard to find. *winks*
The set has many many ways to wear it. It has a solid camisk top with short or long prims to wear with it, a sheer camisk top with short prims, both tops are adorned with gold threading and beads holding it together… There are two different types of added decorated hip belts, one with a golden drape, and one without. Mix and match them with the dress prims to create different looks. The set also includes golden leg wraps, panties for those so inclined, sculptured spiral armbands, sculptured bracelets, and an intricate set of gold earrings. Very versatile, I believe this set is wonderful for most fantasy role play really and I love it. Available in Stunning Black , Deep Purple , Dark Red , Classic White.

I hope you got the Midice silks and kirtle in midnight because they are gone. I just took them from the lucky chairs so you can’t get them anymore! If you missed them I do feel badly but I added a bunch of stuff to the chairs to make up for it I promise.
I threw in there one of the Volupia sheer outfits, and a pair of black leather flats just to have a couple other things, mixing it up a bit.
The real fun part and news though is that there are THREE brand new never released camisks in the chairs. I haven’t placed these out for sale so if you want to grab them up you can get them for free until I decide otherwise! Woot, ok I know you are all excited now right? Well I’m going to attach the pics of them so you can take a look see.

So instead of the typical single outfit I threw in there four different outfits and a pair of shoes for now. Ya’ll are going to get spoiled. I just know it.
Enjoy!!

Trying to expand on my work line I added a few new accessories for those interested. Two different grinding grain type sets. One standing… working with a stone vase type thing where you pound out the grain. The second is kneeling, grain placed in the bowl and you use a pestle. The kneeling version has texture change for the contents so you can choose from 6 different things to work on from wheat, corn, herbs, coffee/blackwine beans, and more. Both are low on prims… the standing version is 3 and the kneeling version is 4.
Along with the sets I made up an accessory pack of different types of burlap sacks filled with grains and such or just lying against the ground. It could be used with the grinding grain work sets or alone on piers, warehouses, and other role play venue types.

I’m not too sure what else to write out about all of it but if you’re curious to check it out then make a quick trip to my main location to try them out!
