The month of December is about to bid us a fond farewell and a new year is just about to start!

DECEMBER PICKS CONTEST WINNER

The winner receives 2000L and a 2000L store credit to be used on whatever strikes their fancy at Roawenwood.  If you’d like a chance to win all you have to do is come by the store, click on the board for the contest, place Roawenwood in your picks and you’re all set!  Each month the list is wiped clean and we start all over.  On the last day of the month I will draw at random a winner and send out another notice.   A new winner will be drawn around January 31st.

BURLWOOD ENGRAVED BED SET

Recently a customer approached decorating their home and loved some of the furniture that I had released with the slipper tubs.  Their inquiry after an exhaustive search of my store was… “is there a bed that matches this furniture?  I’d love to have one.”    **smacks self in the forehead** Now why didn’t I think of that?

So voila!  After working away up in my workshop a brand new release that I think accents the furniture very well tying it all together and just looks sooo inviting.  There’s a reading bench to match with embedded anims as well as a nightstand to round it out.

The bed weighs in at 18 prims, has a MLP v2 Menu with 43 different couples sets (good ones too!  Not the ones generally passed out and around… I purchased all of these myself from various animators), and 3 singles lays embedded into the pillows.  Available in two fabric shades…. Warm and Cool

I felt this needed its own introduction since this is a new project of mine as well as something that deserves its own explanation.

Always thinking, always trying to come up with something new to have some fun with around the store I began mulling over different ideas.  One that I kept coming back to was offering a bit of floor space to other merchants in a limited capacity once in awhile.  I didn’t want to open up rentals or have stores or do anything like that.  There’s far too many things like that already in my opinion.  You can’t turn around without stumbling on a rental stall or some thing of that nature anymore.

This has led me to the idea of the Hump Day Hawker.

Hawkers traditionally were peddlers who yelled out trying to get the casual observer to buy their wares.  My idea is this… once a month for a week, either the second or third week of the month unless otherwise planned, a vendor is chosen to display some of their goods at the Roawenwood.  Given a prim allotment and bit of space on the palettes at the landing point the chosen vendor may create a display for their week.

This is an experiment of sorts that I am hoping will produce some results.  If there aren’t enough applications or participants to have this as a regular thing on a monthly basis then it will be done as they come up or perhaps have a rotation where participating merchants can come back to show off their wares again.

Hello hello, I’m writing a bit of a blurb about this weeks Hump Day.  Simplicity reigns this week as we offer a couple of sales that started yesterday and will end sometime later on today.

50% off discounts on the Winterbound silks sets, both the silver and blue colors are included in the discount.  Then as you travel down the path everything that you find in the sheds where the slave furniture is kept is also discounted to 50% off.  I know this won’t appease everyone’s tastes but all kennel furs, furniture, slave vanity, captive gear, bondage posts… all of those fun little things are knocked down substantially through today.  Have fun!

Ahhhhhh hello my friends, the stress that can be the holidays is beginning to let loose its grip.  The build up to Christmas and all can sometimes end up making us feel more stress than we should.  A few deep breaths really is all that I ever need and it all is worth it.  I do love the holidays, sometimes I get a little overwhelmed by them but this year they were really quite beautiful.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season.  Roawenwood has a lot of new plans and things coming up for the next year and I wish you all the best.  I’d like to think you will be along for the journey so here’s to it!

Greetings and hello again on a pleasant Hump Day.  For the most part at least.  I lost my internet last night and it wasn’t back until rather late today.  Of course this would be the one day that there are issues where I had to get things settled that I wasn’t expecting.  It always works that way doesn’t it?  *chuckles*
