I know, I didn’t update.  **hangs head in shame**

It’s just…………… terrible.

I have been trying to work on and catch up a bit.  Winter is going to be coming to the Five Blades sim soon.  So I’m trying to work out in my head just how I’m going to do it.  We’re going to have ice skating again… that much I know!

Now… onto important matters.

Yesterday was HUMP DAY!  And the winners for the previous weeks contest were announced to the update list.  I picked three winners and upon gazing upon their lovely profiles I found that EACH of them had Roawenwood in their picks!  Sooo flattered and it’s just so awesome soooooo I sent along an extra lil gifty of 1000L cash to each of them along with the 1000L Gift Certificate they won for participating.

I released some bakery items.  An oven, breads, cakes, display counters and a bakers workstation.  I thought it’d be a nice addition to the rp furniture.  I may add onto it over time but there’s some scrumptious looking food down there on the landing pad.  It will be moved to the one building with the rest of the kitchen gear soon.

I also released a lil campfire cooking spot.  It’s got a hanging cauldron and animated.  Like usual it is embedded animation so you don’t have an extra poseball.  I do avoid them when I can, but the pose is still adjustable so different avatars can use it.

I’m going to have more updates comin up… been revamping a couple things and will be releasing some newness soon!  Chores, clothing, and more comin up.

Friday I released a couple things but didn’t get around to posting about it.  This past week has been massively crazy for me, I almost forgot to place all this on here.

First is the camisk.  A very nice little number that is a little bit different I think.  The wrap around top covers the breasts with a little keyhole in between showing just a little bit of skin, then gold trim wraps around beneath the breast… to go around the back.  The bottom of the camisk is sheer material sweeping down along the hip.  It was one of those things I was working on and thought turned out pretty nice.  The top is flowered, and I have to admit… the black and gold one is my favorite but it is in four different patterns.

The chores release for this week was a kneeling kneading dough.  Pretty self explanatory.   Low rustic type table with bread dough on it, a wee bag of flour…. the girl rocks back and forth, kneeling while she works kneading the dough on the table.  A nice addition to places that are a little rougher I would think.  Camps maybe, the plains perhaps… the desert camps?  Out on the prairies?  I think it could have a nice feel in a few places.

The other is a splitting/chopping wood.  Long sequence done very nicely, the chore itself is scripted to follow along with the animation done in steps.  It really is one of my best ones I think, and low in prims.  Only 7 but it doesn’t look like it.  You split the initial log, the log splits falling to the ground… then you walk around the stump to the waiting logs, pick one up then place it on the stump.  The log waits on the stump and you walk around the back to split that one… then repeat.  The chore uses temporary prims for the splitting logs and has it so that the log disappears/reappears while you act it out.  Like I said.  It is done very nicely…

I have more chore/work type stuff coming out soon probably since I have been on a kick working on those lately.  I have some furniture concepts I’m working up too… as well as a few hunts coming up.  The Myths and Legends hunt starts real soon and I’m also participating in the Gorean Merchant Caste hunt.

Friday I made a few releases but didn’t post about them.  This week has been different since family has been in town so I’m a little behind in a few things or distracted.  I got the latest version of Photoshop too!  YAY!  Of course, now I gotta crack that baby open…. I’m -really- wanting to get a graphics tablet, that’ll be my next big purchase.  Anyhow onto the more interesting news for ya’ll.

Three brand new chores!  Technically four but one is similar to the other.  First up we have for all the laundresses, and hard working ladies out there a new ironing station.  My first is a kneeling one, this one is standing with a larger table, draped linens, and a shelf with folded linens.  I’ve added in the package a laundry basket too that isn’t pictured on the box.  I know not everyone really identified with the kneeling one and this one is a lot less prims, only 9 for the table which helps for people who want to have this sort of thing out and about… but have to be careful.

Second is the kneeling washing dishes station that I had for the 25L Tuesday last week.  Nicely animated like my other chores, dunking your arms into the water.  Lots of dishes spread around and rustic type texturing.  I thought it would be great for camps and things like that since the basin is a tub.  That makes it a little unique in its own way.

Third and final chore release was a beating the rugs, and then beating the furs.  Simple styling, rugs or furs tossed up over top of the line, and a rug beater included… just click to receive and then right click to sit and get to work.

All the chores have embedded adjustable sits so that you don’t have any ugly hover text… no extra poseballs to add to the prims and ease of use.

Beyond the chores I have been adding lil autumn accents around the landing zone.  Cornstalks, pumpkin patches, a scarecrow, straw bales… that sort of thing.  They all look really nice and have been created to give you something fun for the season or your farm.

It’s tuesday… it’s tuesday!  **does a lil jig and dance twirling around in the early morning**

Which means it is the first of the 25L tuesdays where 10 generous merchants are picked from a list of participants to offer up something for just a few lindens.  This weeks vendors include names like Little Tasta, IMPulse, Fantasia, and and…. **dramatic pause inserted here** Roawenwood!

A previously unreleased chore for sale for the low price of 25L’s just for today… after that it will be released as a normal part of my chore line.

I also switched out the newbie gift.  Residents under 30 days can get a free outfit, this time I picked something a little more versatile.  One of the Gunnhilde kirtle/camisk sets.  It is the one in cornflower, a light blue color but it has a lot of options.  Three different skirts for the kirtle, a rope belt, and the top is a camisk so kajira or bond maid can wear it.  If you’re under the 30 day mark all you have to do is click on the sign at the freebie area to receive it.

Trying to expand on my work line I added a few new accessories for those interested.  Two different grinding grain type sets.  One standing… working with a stone vase type thing where you pound out the grain.  The second is kneeling, grain placed in the bowl and you use a pestle.  The kneeling version has texture change for the contents so you can choose from 6 different things to work on from wheat, corn, herbs, coffee/blackwine beans, and more.  Both are low on prims… the standing version is 3 and the kneeling version is 4.

Along with the sets I made up an accessory pack of different types of burlap sacks filled with grains and such or just lying against the ground.  It could be used with the grinding grain work sets or alone on piers, warehouses, and other role play venue types.
