Roawenwood: Design & Craft

The Livia gown is a Roman inspired dress that has a whole lot of options to wear.  I created it with some very deep dark colors, along with a few lighter shades. Each gown has the option to be worn with either a cropped top or a full length one that covers up all that belly.  Shoulder drapes or a sash that wears like a cloak almost.  When I was trying to make up the posters I really had a tough time.  Between the gloves and then the arm wraps… the two different tops, the drapes, and all of that when you start to mix and match you begin to realize how versatile it could be.  Formal or a little less formal depending on what accessories you wear.

When I began putting it together I started seeing other outfits using some of this as a base so I might very well be creating ohhhh one or two more things.  I can see some silks… maybe some harem pants?  I think I might also flirt around with an idea that I have seen tossed out there.  There’s a person or two who’s said that creators constantly create full outfits and they’d like to see some separates offered so they can choose colors or different ways to wear it, spending their lindens in that way.  With this outfit it has me thinking a little… about maybe offering some of it like that.  I’m not sure but I might try it.  We’ll see.

There’s 8 colors for sale; Black & Silver, Black & Gold, Blue, Green, Pink, Purple, Red, White & Gold….  the lucky chair at the moment has a version of the white with silver trim… but only the cropped top, not the full one or the extra shoulder sash. If you’re a groupie a very special limited edition color that won’t be for sale ever was sent out today.  Only groupies can get that one… I’m trying to make the group something ya’ll find useful

Hello hello!  Today is Tuesday and I’m participating in the 25L rounds.  I haven’t peeked my head up on the blog lately which is… naughty… but you know how it goes.  For 25L there was a theme this week, chocolate!  Something we were selling had to have something to do with chocolate. 

So I made up a cute little bench type thing, lush cushions, and thick mattress with a very sweet animation set.  The girl sitting on her guys lap feeding him chocolate covered strawberries.  First she picks one up, nibbles on it and then feeds him before leaning in for a soft kiss.  Awwwwww.  Embedded animation the bench gives a tray and strawberry to wear when needed.  I have a few other things out.  I marked down one of the Ilsa kirtles (chocolate colored, ha go figure), a reading rug… a sub stump, have to see that one to know what it is I’m not tellin but basically a few other lil things to have some fun with.  I haven’t decided what I’m going to release tomorrow though I was thinking that something along the lines of chocolate might be in order since we’re kinda workin a theme here.

Last weeks release was a bit more…… twisted.  A Bond Circle, and Slaver’s Pillow set thing.  You know I really didn’t know what to call it so I guess we kept it simple.  Both of them have a 9 part sequential set of animations that can be used one after the other to create a scene or you can choose the one you want to really focus on.  The sets work well by themselves so you don’t have to be confined in your role play.  This is one of those sets where when I place the poses I tilt my head and just…. “ok, now that is a rather interesting notion isn’t it….”  hehehe  Delightfully deviant it moves through a scenario starting with a man grabbing at and subduing a woman, putting her to her knees… having her pleasure him with her mouth, take care of him and then ending with him holding her in a rather loving animation set conquered.  Quite the forced fantasy which I think has great potential if you want it.

The Bond Circle version consists of a ring of rocks with very nicely shaded dirt/mud in the center…. it can be used in northern Gorean villages, or in out of the way forestry type places… well really wherever outside, the set includes ferns, trees, a couple stumps and a log so you can decorate it up too without just having the circle.  The greenery is unlinked so you can move it, or pick it up even.  Kind of thought it could become something a little different that way.  The Slaver’s Circle is a roughneck kind of version with a distressed canvas type rug, shaded and wrinkled up with a couple rings of pillows.  Very simple but done nicely to give depth to a room, slave house, dungeon… I kept it pretty basic so it could be used wherever hopefully…

That was the big one.  I did also release an outfit… since the Bond Circle thing got me thinking Northern Gor I made up a kirtle type thing but it isn’t really all that conventional.  I like it… been wearing it myself, in two colors.  Black and Red.  I wasn’t liking any of the other colors I came up with so I stuck with those.

Not sure where I am at at the moment…. I have some upcoming plans for the store that are going to probably shake it up a bit…. but don’t worry, I haven’t given up on ya’ll yet.  Have a great Tuesday, get down here and pick up your discounted items…. and I’ll talk to you soon.

Last week on the in world subscribe list I had a long long notecard…. Like usual really, I tend to babble on which I always try to keep a lid on but it happens anyhow.  First off I’m going to highlight the Letter of the Week discount.  This past weekend through the 24th of January the L.O.W. thing is being run a little bit differently… it’s a Merchant’s Choice round, we got to pick what we felt like putting out there rather than a letter being selected.  Sooooooo I went ahead and marked down two things.  An outfit, and a bed.  BIG discounts for them both.  The silks are one of my most popular sellers… The Flutterbee silks, softer colors, lots of jewels and tons of wear options.  All sorts of things included with them…. marked down from their normal price of 650L to 250L.

The bed is the Engraved Burlwood bed, it has 40 something couples sets from naughty to nice.  Marked down from 2650L to 795L.  Seriously…. this is a good time if you want it.

·!¦[·    COUNTRY PATCHWORK ROCKERS AND TEATIME TRAY     ·]¦!·

The idea of a cozy fireplace, front porch or warm parlor comes to mind with this piece.  I love rocking chairs and have wanted to make up one that suited me moreso than the ones I had hanging about the store.  Richly textured with a plush cushion and a blanket hanging along the back.  Comes in either a shabby white, or wood grain with a couple options for texture change in the cushion and blanket.

The rocker includes 7 different animations.  Not poses but animations that have a unique feel to them, four different sits… then also knitting, needlepoint, and a drinking tea animation.  Props for the ones needed are given to you as you change the pose so you don’t have to do anything except wear them from your inventory.  A knitting/sewing basket is also included for decoration.

The tea tray/table is a little thing I put together because it seemed to suit the one chair so well.  In the same shabby white type coloring and accessorized it gives a teacup or cake to eat on click.

·!¦[·    HARNESSED - NEW OUTFIT    ·]¦!·

Harnessed is a real simple thing, strap running from the neck straight down with a strap across the hips.  Included within the outfit is the ‘laced’ version and the plain version with the rivets along the edge.  A sculpted waist skirt/sash rounds it out with a set of pasties tossed in there to help cover you up.

Available in 4 colors: Black, Red, Blue Satin, and Pink Sorbet.

NEW ITEMS IN THE LUCKY CHAIRS:  Well, sort of.  We’re calling this round the Grab Bag round!  You know all those different items that I put together as limited edition items?  Well…. because I’m in the middle of having an actual new item or two for the chairs I’ve decided to resurrect some of the past limited items and throw em in there.  There’s 12 different things in the chairs right now.  None of them have ever been for sale in the store.

NEW MINI MANIA STUFF:   In the main store I replaced the mini mania stuff… one has a pair of flats, the other has a pair of the soft hide boots.  There’s a twist, I’m being included in the Lucky Tribe Kookie thing to give Kudos Kookies so they are also in there.

I new hunt started on Saturday… the “There’s No Place Like Home” Hunt… an invitation only hunt for home and garden type products.  Has some nice places participating too!

Splinter’d has gotten a face lift… all redone even though it still needs to be tweaked.  There be pirates over yonder on the other sim.  Actually I think it’s kind of a fun build… I’m going to have some fun stuff for there in the near future too.

Towards the end of last week I released the kirtle/dress outfit called Ilsa…. this week you’re going to get to meet Isolda.

Done in 4 color combinations, 3 of them a regular sale type item and the fourth is going to be a part of the Twisted Krissmuss stuff I have out.  Softer, flowing, on the delicate side and wintery these come with a bra top, panties, chest dangle, armbands, bracelets, skirts, and a tattoo to wind down over the left side of the body.

I whipped together the cutest little thing.  Now a lot of people have their own versions of something like this so you can’t blame me right??  It’s just so cute though!

Santa’s lil Helper, complete with boots and backpack stuffed full of everything you need!  Grandma’s cookies recipe book, tree, ornaments, and the cutest lil guy sitting on top among other things.  Take a peek!  This one is marked at only 100L as part of the Twisted Krissmuss event.

HUNTS!!  The POE hunt is still going, along with the other two that I’m in (Candy Cane 2, and the Present/Coal) BUT a new one started just today!!

The Gothmas by Gaslight Hunt, so there’s a silver bell hanging around my store just waiting for you to find it if you feel so inclined to try your hand at it.  I almost feel naked, only have one hunt coming up in January.  Put in apps to a couple around Feb but not sure if I’ve got any scheduled.  Hmm, suppose if I don’t then I -could- always maybe plan on doing a hunt here at the sim just for Roawenwood.  Think that is a good idea?

As part of the holiday season I’m also leaving a small gift for all of you.  A Yule log for those inclined to pick one up…. I was doing the Wheel of the Year hunts but I don’t think they did one for Yule, that doesn’t mean I didn’t feel like leaving a gift.  It’s down near the Twisted Krissmuss display at the base of the one tree.

I’ve been getting a lot done and will have more this weekend I think.  Till then!

I TOLD you I had another post to do… another set of things to tempt you with.  I am kind of weird about posts getting too long or jumping all over the place within the same one when I have new things. I was going to wait to release this… you know do the normal release dates, and all the way I usually do but I just couldn’t wait.  I’m weak, terrible… can’t help myself when I get excited.  It just bubbles over and poof… all over the place.  Just HAD to do it. Sooooooooooooo today I released the Ilsa Kirtle set.

It can be worn in different ways… The set includes: Fur trimmed top, banded top, skirts, waist belts, wrist bands, furred panties and a pair of boots.  Simple, can be worn everyday and great coloring, flowing skirts… The top has fur trim from the shoulders sweeping under the bust, it can be worn modestly with included banded top or bare breasted.  That was one thing that I wanted, you see awhile back I had a few different girls ask if I could make a kirtle or something that bared the breasts.  Some of them liked the option, and while I didn’t get right on it I kept the thought in the back of my mind.  The option is always fun but I added the modesty layer so more people could wear it than just a few.  I think that’s a good way to go about things.

There are 6 different colors; Bisque, Black, Crimson, Chocolate, Navy and Winterberry…  and right now… this very minute, the kirtle set is available at a 50% discount through or until the 13th.  I even have the listings on the Marketplace marked down 50% so you can give as a gift, or not have to travel to the sim.  It’s something a little extra I thought I would do this go round.
