Roawenwood: Design & Craft

Ahhh, the sun rose and the air was crisp.  I got up early with the intent of having a few hours of quiet time before everything got charged up for the day to get some stuff done and well… of course real life had other plans.

But still I proceeded to move forward and get everything done that I intended even if it was a little bit later than I had anticipated.  Today was HUMP DAY!  Yay!!  Wednesday has rolled around and Roawenwood didn’t fail to deliver once again.  Today was a Hump Day Hunt.  I had one item tucked away in a little pile of gold on the sim for everyone to find for this weeks bit of fun.  I wanted to do something besides another sale.  I know people look forward to them and all but you know getting a small little gift or something just for taking the time to come over is a great thing too.

I also had a HUGE release day.  TWO new camisk outfits, changed out the MM boards with new items, and new lucky chair stuff.  Whew!  Technically one of the camisks is the Naughty Bits set ‘reloaded’ and recolored.  I’ve had a few requests for other colors… finally getting around to it.  The other camisk set is Ravaged.  Ripped up a bit in patterned burlap, ropes criss crossing keeping it tied together, one with a modesty layer, one without… a thong panty is included for those who need it.   6 different color options.

And brand new in the lucky chairs:  I’m gearing up for the holiday season and figured I’d get a little bit of a head start for all of ya.  Have plans to add things to the chairs over the next month so I’ll update as more is added.  Last month we were wicked, this month we’re frosty.  A bit more feminine and for something a little colorful a pair of slippers with holiday flair.

With everything going on today it feels like I should be saying more but I’m tired.  I’m heading to bed and I’ll be around tomorrow to pick up the pile of gold, and raise up the prices on the Naughty Camisk (special 50% off for Hump Day).

I just finished up a cute outfit.  Skulls -n- Denim I called it, I know… it isn’t very inspired for a name but I couldn’t think of anything.

Two colors, black denim and blue denim… each with little red hearts and skulls decorating parts of it.  I haven’t decided if I feel like doing other colors… but these look pretty good I think.  I set up the outfits to each have two sashes.  One with skulls, one without.  The camisk top, shorts for people who like a lil more modesty, and then a set of anklets.

I like it.  I’m hopin ya’ll do too.  For this week until or through Halloween I’m going to have them both in my lucky chairs.

Friday I released a couple things but didn’t get around to posting about it.  This past week has been massively crazy for me, I almost forgot to place all this on here.

First is the camisk.  A very nice little number that is a little bit different I think.  The wrap around top covers the breasts with a little keyhole in between showing just a little bit of skin, then gold trim wraps around beneath the breast… to go around the back.  The bottom of the camisk is sheer material sweeping down along the hip.  It was one of those things I was working on and thought turned out pretty nice.  The top is flowered, and I have to admit… the black and gold one is my favorite but it is in four different patterns.

The chores release for this week was a kneeling kneading dough.  Pretty self explanatory.   Low rustic type table with bread dough on it, a wee bag of flour…. the girl rocks back and forth, kneeling while she works kneading the dough on the table.  A nice addition to places that are a little rougher I would think.  Camps maybe, the plains perhaps… the desert camps?  Out on the prairies?  I think it could have a nice feel in a few places.

The other is a splitting/chopping wood.  Long sequence done very nicely, the chore itself is scripted to follow along with the animation done in steps.  It really is one of my best ones I think, and low in prims.  Only 7 but it doesn’t look like it.  You split the initial log, the log splits falling to the ground… then you walk around the stump to the waiting logs, pick one up then place it on the stump.  The log waits on the stump and you walk around the back to split that one… then repeat.  The chore uses temporary prims for the splitting logs and has it so that the log disappears/reappears while you act it out.  Like I said.  It is done very nicely…

I have more chore/work type stuff coming out soon probably since I have been on a kick working on those lately.  I have some furniture concepts I’m working up too… as well as a few hunts coming up.  The Myths and Legends hunt starts real soon and I’m also participating in the Gorean Merchant Caste hunt.

I always love doin those lil things…

Not much to say because I’m still workin hard on getting things around for October.  Trying to not release too much, trying my best to be patient and not do what I usually do which is to release as I go.

Ohhhh I almost forgot!  The Hope Hunt and Race starts on the 27th.  The concept of it is not only a prize hunt, which I will admit that I have placed out 10 roses… and each rose has a prize.  So that means at Roawenwood you can get 10 different prizes from the roses when you find them to click.  The race part is where you go around to different participating vendors and find their roses too.  The person who finds the most roses ends up winning a prize pot of lindens.

This is a race that had to be redone from earlier this year due to some issues with the database, which is supposed to be fixed to run smoother now.  The prizes are as follows (if nothing has changed, which I don’t think they have.)

The Grand Prize is 45,000L

2^nd Prize is 25,000L

3^rd Prize is 10,000L

So what else am I doing or up to lately…. hmmmm…. ohhhh, well I did get some stuff together and a few ideas for some discount type camisks.  I know that not everyone has the lindens to be able to spend a lot, so I am trying to offer a special selection of items in the clothing area for less than what I normally charge.  The first offering of this type is a set of sheer camisks, 9 different colors.

I picked up one of those lucky dip things from the lucky chair place, I’m thinking of throwing some of them into that too, so then you could get em for free.  *chuckles*

I hope you got the Midice silks and kirtle in midnight because they are gone.  I just took them from the lucky chairs so you can’t get them anymore!  If you missed them I do feel badly but I added a bunch of stuff to the chairs to make up for it I promise.

I threw in there one of the Volupia sheer outfits, and a pair of black leather flats just to have a couple other things, mixing it up a bit.

The real fun part and news though is that there are THREE brand new never released camisks in the chairs.  I haven’t placed these out for sale so if you want to grab them up you can get them for free until I decide otherwise!  Woot, ok I know you are all excited now right?  Well I’m going to attach the pics of them so you can take a look see.

So instead of the typical single outfit I threw in there four different outfits and a pair of shoes for now.  Ya’ll are going to get spoiled.  I just know it.
