This past month I was approached and asked if I wanted to see if I could design and furnish a set of furniture for valentines day AND stay within the prim limits that would be used in the Linden Homes.  A whole house, 117 prims.  Three designers per house, so that means my room…. 39 Prims.  *winces* Ouch.

Wow, really?  39 prims, me?  For a WHOLE room?  I’m such a prim whore too.  Do you have ANY idea how much strugglin there was with this one?   Details, eye candy, immersion… I just love it and no offense, a big boxy empty room… This was a tough one but we DID it!  My group decided to try to do a rather romantic French country inspired look using blacks & whites with reds and pinks as accents.  My contribution is a full set that can be bought in pieces or as a set.  Priced inexpensively in general because it is meant for Linden Homes and people on a limited budget.  The fireplace really needs to be seen in world, it looks SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the pictures.

Granted AFTER completing the display I added an accent or two in the packages, but because a lot are 1 prim or two you can pick/choose which to use to stay within your prim limits.  The full display is HERE >>The Cookie Jar Linden Homes Display <<  at the Cookie Jar sim where you can see ALL of the displays that each team did along with the other members I worked with.  It was a lot of fun!

Another group that is new is called Simply the Best, the idea is a group of creators who have been invited as some of the best participate in a weekly sale or do something for the group.  This week I have my showers on half off.  This really is a great deal.  325L for a shower that has BOTH singles animations and LIMITED EDITION animations for couples that aren’t for sale any longer on the grid.  The showers are on sale for the week only.  A rustic version, and a more ornate fancier version so really there is something for either.  The showers also have realistic splash effects and sound.

Someone did a real nice blog post too about the showers showing off some of the animations with pictures!  Looks really great I think and I really do appreciate them taking the time to do it.  Can see it over here:  Double Exposure: Shower me with Kisses.

Every year I toss around the idea of doing the 12 Days in the more traditional style of the days after Christmas rather than leading up to.  Well this year I bit the bullet and decided at the last minute to go ahead and just do it!

Most everyday (I’ve run late a time or two, actually to be completely honest I have not put out yesterdays gift yet lol) there has been a new gift and a marked down item from the store.  I’ve twisted it around, been a smart ass a time or two or just blatantly decided to play along with different parodies to create something of my own 12 days of Christmas.

Day 1 I was looking over the list and realizing that there was a hell of a lot of birds in this song.  If I do this again I’m going to have to account for it.  Gift for day one was a whole pear tree set with chores and all.

Day 2 Two Turtlenecks!  I grew up listening to a parody (http://www.squidoo.com/12days) and the second day was two turtlenecks.  So an outfit we had… a saucy thing with skirts, and a naughty top.

Day 3 I went back to the normal version but twisted mine around.  The Three Hens Sewing Circle was the gift.  A furniture set for three women to sit, gossip or generally bitch about life.  The grumpy anim is just classic, I added an expression to it so you get a real fun little thing.  Very nice set.  I adore it and intend totally to have it available somehow after the event.

Day 4 I made you breakfast.  Breakfast tray for one going back to Bob and Doug, 4lbs of bacon, and the day before for them was french toast so why not.  I like this tray too to be honest.  Can read in bed, eat a couple different foods… rezzes and derezzes props.

Day 5 Golden Rings!  Redone anysia silks with brand new jewelry.  Seriously liking these too, body drapes and all.  Mhmmm, spoilin ya’ll

Day 6 See we’re back to birds, and I realized with the geese-a-layin and all that my butchers accessories didn’t have any poultry. Hmmm, well we can’t have that so we redid the butchers sets and the work table was todays gift.

Day 7 Swans-a-Swimming in a lovely foresty pond for your garden.

Day 8 Maids-a-Milking.  Ummmmmm I got naughty here, she ain’t milkin no cows in this one! 0.o

And now we’re getting to where I’m at…. I have to put out 9 ladies and 10 leapers.  Yanno, I’m strugglin with the leapin lords.  *scratches her head*

All gifts are for in world group members only but placed around the tree down at the landing all pretty like.

Each year a group of merchants make up special items that are all transfer and priced at 100L for the holiday season to help out everyone that is trying to save some linden cash but still want to give everyone something a little special for the holidays.  The items are all supposed to be high quality and kept at a low price to keep the holidays merry.  I love this stuff and I’m going to pump ya’ll up so you can have something to look forward to!

I might even make up a special lil giftie for all of you shoppers too… I’m hoping to have a few things to offer like I did last year.

CoLab is a great group of people who work with a theme every couple of weeks and then offers that piece for no more than 60L during the round.  It’s a lot of fun and the theme this time was Candy Cane Lane.  My offering for it is a little rp item or whatever you’d like to use it for.  A sweets trolley or handcart to push around during your festive season.   Near the new arrivals section and marked for 60L, I still have the previous rounds fireplace down there for the 60L too if you want it.

Greetings Happy Hunter types, for those so inclined two hunts started on the 1st.
The Renaissance hunt started and I have an item hidden inside a tiny gargoyl at my landing.  This hunt also has a ‘faire’ for the starting point with a mini-hunt going on to get it going. (The prize is a nice set that’s a bit rustic looking too but I didn’t take a pic of it. heh)

The Tentacle Addicts hunt I’m on the adult path.  There’s the PG, and the adult…. of course I had to have some fun with it.  I made up a tentacle trap just for something different.  If you’re interested that’s hidden down here too.

Have you seen it?!  Roawenwood Acres is the next area that has gotten a face lift.  It’s still a wee bit under construction, displays aren’t quite finished but if you want to take a peek you can see the new build…. I’m going to be placing some items there in vendors like @ Splinter’d very soon so you get store credit and all there too.  The Christmas and Winter decor has begun to creep out and will be added to during the next few weeks.  I hope you all enjoy!

Other news?  Hunts, Hunts, and Events ALL over the place.  Next week I’m part of the 25L Black Tues. event, next weekend I’m doing a Black Friday sales event at my Cookie Jar spot, and I’ll probably be doing another round of 60L weekends.  This weekend I’ll be doing 60L weekend too so I’ll be sending out that notice on Saturday or so.  This Saturday the Traditional Christmas Hunt starts and there will be a giftie for everyone interested.  See, busy busy busy.  I’m SWAMPED!  *laughs*

Twisted Hunt starts on September 1st.  The theme this time is “Unseelie”, and I’m already having some fun with it.  I’m working on some awesome gifts, a mini hunt, sales, souvenirs the whole nine-yards…. I think I’m going to see about adding something to the end game too.  Over 300 vendors applied for it this time around though they have capped it at just over 200.  I was floored.  The organizers felt terrible having to turn away folks as it is but had to think of the hunters… more than that is just too big and too hard.

Anyhow!!!  I just can’t resist…. I wanted to give a lil twisted teaser for ya’ll.

This past week I had a long time customer make a request.  It really isn’t anything that major but asked for an icebox type thing that matches the Manor House set in the kitchens area.  Eh, why not… I refuse though to call it a chilla or whatever it is.  *grins*  It’s an icebox!

Now this isn’t that big of an item really, an accessory really so I figured why not.  I’m going to give it to my groupies as a thanks for hanging in there with me.  So group members of the in world group “The Roawenwood” can come down and find it in the Kitchen/Bakery building.  Wear your group tag and click the box on the wall to receive it in a folder.

There is also the CoLab kit out for this round… it was a Southwest type theme, I end up reworking my one loom which really was a variant from the Navajo weaving looms anyhow.  It looks really good, very rustic in its own sense with some added accessories.  It is available right now for a limited time for 60L while the round is going.  It will run through this next Thursday I believe so if you want one you have to come get.  After that I will be adding it to the chores section at a normal type price.

The major part of this release is like a Gorean or Medieval Laundromat!!  It’s such a neat fun idea isn’t it?  A communal laundry.  *laughs* Ok, maybe not -the- most fun but I know that people do like to rp in groups, and this opens up a new thing for people to explore.  Can be a laundress, the cranky washerwoman… or just have a spot in the town where people can work together, gossiping and sharing the days news.  That was the idea anyhow.

The Washerwoman’s Laundry Shed; has washboards for three people to do their laundry in the basin and also includes accessories to go with… a couple of rugs, laundry baskets, a hidin spot, wadded up clothes and some seating crates.  The crates have 5 embedded animations for lounging or taking a break.  Since all of it is copiable you can change it around or make it how you want to look.  The shed breaks away from the mold a little bit from my other sheds being done mainly in stone, I wanted something a little different, this felt nice… solid and sort of homey in a way.

Now if you are looking at the display in world you’ll see a couple things tucked inside the shed.  Made up a new ironing table, and something new… folding clothes!  You know I really despise folding clothes in real life… Desperately so and I hesitated to add that kind of torture to Second Life but I figured someone might enjoy the rp.  So there’s that… buy the full set with the shed, folding clothes, and the ironing table in world for a discount.

The rest of the main release this week is the revamping of previously released laundry sets.  I redid the Hanging Laundry chores lowering the prim count, retexturing and shading the sets and making them copy/mod like the rest… the other big thing is I have combined the single clothesline and the double clothesline into one pack so you can pick or choose which one you want to use without spending a ton of extra money.  The double line has room for two to work, while the single is well…. singular.

There are two sets of Laundry Scrubbing sets.  The first is a revamp of the long time favorite and the other is a set that includes BOTH standing and kneeling laundry chores.  I think I did it this way because well, when I was building it it looked cool together… and I thought it would be another way to give you more bang for your buck.  Along with being able to have more options.  I think it works out.  I’ve added in some laundry baskets, rugs, that sort of thing to help add a bit more to it too.

I also revamped the kneeling ironing chore… This one is always a little tricky to get right for some reason but I think I did.  You know it’s funny… I totally am sitting here scratching my head wondering what the hell I was thinking.  I mean really, that’s an awful lot of laundry gear.  LOL!  But then again I suppose it works out, everyone has their own idea of how they want this sort of thing and hopefully I’ve been able to come up with a few options.  People like options.

As I phase out old chores either redoing them or just changing their permissions things will be replaced or retired.  So I don’t burn myself out on them I’ve been doing them in stages so far.

TWISTED HUNT IS COMING!

I got the application to apply for it just yesterday.

I of course scrambled to send it in and now there is the wait…. did I get in?  I’ve been in the last two so I’m fairly certain I could be included again though this time they’re capping the hunt at 150 stores.  Last time it was huge, over 200 something I think.  Awesome hunt, twisted fun, lots of trouble.  And the theme…. I’m looking forward to this one.

Last time I did mini-hunts, extra prizes, souvenirs, and sales.  This time I plan on doing a bit again but I don’t plan on rebuilding the store… last couple I actually had the store rebuilt but this time I’m liking how the store is so I’ll leave it.

Keep your eyes peeled though because it’s backkkkk.
