I feel like the rabbit in Alice of Wonderland… “I’m late, I’m late!”

It took way longer than anticipated to get a build done.  I tried several and nothing was working… the one I had planned flopped horribly.  Then it became an exercise in trying to not pull out all of my lovely long hair in finding something that I could live with.  I don’t know if ya’ll know yet but I’m something of a perfectionist in some ways and a build that doesn’t *feel* right will make me very uncomfortable.  It took try after try after try….. and I found something unexpectedly that will work…………………….. for now.  I figure I can torment and tweak the thing or change it later if I need to but right now it suits.

A rather relaxing build, things are categorized pretty well, though…….. fair warning.  It’s big.  I figure if you’re going to do it, might as well go big!  Woot!  I do believe though that anyone that is close to me or knows me even a little bit has threatened bodily injury to me if I so much as breathe the word rebuild anytime soon.  I swear it, I’m not making this up.  Anyhow…. so get ready!  Tomorrow.  I’m not promising it will be like 7 am and me standing at the landing zone all done… nuh, should know me better than that.  But tomorrow it is and I have lots going on!

Three hunts start this week, one of them the TWISTED hunt and I actually quite like what I made for it.  I’m going to have sales specials every day, Thurs, Friday, and through the weekend.  I have -tons- of new items mixed in with other inventory and I’m going to have a Roawenwood hunt, something just on the sim…. so how can you really go wrong.  I’m hoping ya’ll will like the new build, and that no one gets too awful lost.

Yesterday was the Hump Day Happenin fun stuff… I didn’t write up anything because it came into being so very late in the day but I have some discounted items at the group nets around the landing area.

Five different chores marked down at more than 50% off, the Fireside Couples Rug is at half off, and then I put out an outfit marked down more than 50% off too.  I’m not givin it away though, if you want to see you have to at least take a trip down to the store.  haha

I kept it short and sweet yesterday…. Discounts will run through tomorrow 4/30 at least but I could end up extending it if I feel like it since last night and a lot of today was just SL borky funness!

It was fun, and I got the…. “oh my god I never win anything!”  hehehe makes it even better.

Remember it is easy to get in on the chance to win, all you have to do is come down… click the sign at the landing point while keeping Roawenwood in your picks.  You know… the first person I picked off the list this past month DIDN’T have the store in their picks.  Tsk tsk, so they didn’t win and that’s why KittenAnne got lucky!!

Other up and coming news?  It’s a secret but….. I’m probably going to be rebuilding the store very soon.  I know right?  I know how it is and I like it when I go to a place to be able to find everything where I left it so to speak but hopefully the layout will still keep shopping easier.  I’m having to move some of my more adult content and upcoming content into an adult rated area.  I don’t like it but I’m sure it will work out.  Roawenwood is still going to try to have an atmosphere that I enjoy… hopefully it turns out ok.  Cross your fingers for me.

In the meantime what does that mean to you?  Not a whole lot except that at some point the bulk of my inventory will be put into a temporary store in the sky so you guys can still get to it while I work on the ground level.  I will probably be retiring some merchandise, though I haven’t picked what exactly.  Once that is settled we’ll have some reopening stuff… and hopefully a lot of new fun things for you to peek at!

Newness for yesterday!  I put out a camp set.  The Woodsman Camp Set with a sculpted tent, camp blankets, fire, terrain piece and grass so you can create a neat little scene with it.  The tent, terrain, and grass is copy, while the blankets and the fire are transfer.  I figured this way you can create a camp easily or just use the one.  It’s been an interesting bit getting it together, I think it looks pretty decent and can go in so many different kinds of places.  It isn’t like it is solely Gorean or anything else.  If you live in a desert region even it can be used… just don’t use the grasses and included terrain piece.  The tent still looks great.

It will be on a 50% off countdown vendor for at least another 24 hours, maybe a bit longer so if you’re curious you should come down.

Also, just because I think it is funny and have to poke fun at myself a little bit here… I did a “Hump Day Easter Egg Hunt Whoopsie”.  Last week I put out 10 eggs for people to find with gifts from around the store mostly.  It was a great success and a lot of people had fun with it… well…. umm, you see.  *shuffles her foot across the floor*  I didn’t -actually- write down where I put the 10 eggs and the store is pretty big… and… and… well…. I couldn’t remember where I put two of them.  I figured I’d have no problem, I know my patterns and where I’d stash stuff right?  WRONG!  hahaha

Soooo we had an extra little bit of fun, while poking fun at myself I decided to give a 500L Gift Certificate to the first person who IM’d me with the right locations for both eggs.  I had a few people who sent one, and while only the first will get the 500L one… I’m going to be a stinker and give the ones who tried a 250L one, I just didn’t mention that in the announcement.  *grins*

You never know what I might throw in there so it’s better to give it a shot, you might end up with something anyhow!

The 7 Sins hunt is still going on, and this week another hunt started…. the Celebrating Gaia hunt.  I made something nice for that too.  At least I like it but then again most of the time I don’t put out or give away things that I don’t like.  I’m the sort that can’t put something out there if I’m not at least somewhat happy with it.  I’ll always be the most critical of my work of course but you know how it goes right?

While mine isn’t really super spectacularly special… it is cute and it is something a little fun.  The way I figure it with only a few days left before the holiday I would release it and leave the price lower than I usually would for an item like this.  Soooo you get to benefit.  I’m releasing the Egg Painting stool for 50L.

So that is just about my only Easter offering this year.  I did put out a cute lil pink bunny for my groupies at the landing point though if you’re interested.

Other fun and releases today too!  An EASTER EGG HUNT!!  I have 10 Easter eggs hidden out and around the Five-Blades sim at the main location.  10 gifts from around my store, some furniture, some clothes.  I tried to not make it too girly.  They will be out through the weekend, then I have to remember where I got them scattered about!  *laughs*

Today saw the release of a few furniture pieces too.  All a part of the same line but technically 5 different pieces.  A set of sponge bath and wash basins.  Each one has 3 different washing animations in it.  One female sponge bath animation… one male sponge bath animation… and then a washing hands anim.

Three of them have their similarities though two are more ornate, while the third is more for rustic types.  The other two were done on stumps for camps and foresty type places.  The forest versions are lower prim, could be used outside of rustic type homes even instead of having indoor plumbing.  I think all have their place if chosen… could be used in infirmaries, for the green caste, in a home, lots of places.  Only limited by your imagination really.  Perhaps I’ll do a slave version… something more beat up.  You never know really…. but I do have a lot coming out soon within that genre anyways.

Some other fun and interesting facts hanging about the wood?  The Ostara hunt is ending today… tomorrow I’ll try to remember to pick up the prim.  The Nature’s hunt ends within the next few days but then the Virtues of Sin hunt starts tomorrow!  My sin was sloth and I think I have a pretty good item out there for it.  There’s a hint thing, and a feather prim ‘footsteps’ to point you in the right direction.

*Taps her fingers on the keyboard trying to think what else* Don’t forget the photo contest!  I’ve got some nice entries… would love to see what else people can come up with.

This week I’m revamping an oldie, one of my very first Hump Day deals… everything on the New Arrivals palettes are at 50% off until sometime Feb. 19th.  At some point that day I’ll raise the prices back up to their normal ones.

Wednesday was a serious hump day.  It felt like it was never going to end and the problems just kept mounting.  SL was having fits.  Couldn’t build, open my notecards or scripts, could do anything really for quite awhile so I didn’t get to do the event that I had planned for this week.  However, since I am ever the optimist, I did do another secret sale/refund.  This time though you can get any TWO items in my store for 50% off. It’s like the other sale… purchase your items, send me a NC with the transaction history and I’ll send you a 50% refund of your purchase price. Update list members are given first notice about sales and discounts so if you want to be kept up to date you should click on the subscribe button at the landing zone at Roawenwood.

I’ve had quite a few releases that weren’t really announced on the blog, as well as a couple not even put through my update list.  I’ve been working on a fishing set series, with more to come.  The first was the Roawenwood Fishing Dinghy and then there was the Dockside Fishing Chair… this was a request actually from a customer.  She loved the boat but wanted something for her deck, and voila there you have it.  I already was going to do something similar but it was a good kick in the backside to get me moving.  More to come with this series very soon.

I have a few little Valentines goodies at the landing zone.  Some adorable lil bunnies, candy, baskets, that kind of thing.  Last minute gift ideas.

I’m working on a new outfit, still trying to get the clothing layers the way I like and I’m trying to decide how flamboyant to make it.  It’s a little different than previous releases so I hope ya’ll like it when it comes out.

I have a few new ideas rolling around in my brain… but that’s normal.

This week I placed out a nice rose arbor, it has the same animation set that my Rustica Hammock has, and one of the loungers in the furniture section.  I really love this animation set.  It has 8 poses/animations total, one person laying on one side… another laying opposite them on the other side.  Slightly cuddly male/female set where he caresses along her belly, and then a less cuddly version that is set for a couple friends to kick back and just relax.  I’ve spent a few hours on pieces using these sets just talking.

So for the Hump Day Happenins around my place I decided to crate up the rose arbor and then a plain rose arbor w/out the couch or animations then put it out on the sim for ya’ll to find.

I left a hint in the notecard for the update list groupies so if you wanted that you’d need to be a part of the update group.  *winks*  Otherwise… well try your hand at wandering the sim and see if you can find it.

The mini-hunt will go on through tomorrow at least though the arbor is available in store for purchase if you miss it or just really don’t like to do hunts.

What I’m REALLY excited about is the release of my latest work set.  I’ve been working pretty hard on it and trying to get a flavor of authenticity with it.  I know it isn’t going to be everyone’s cup of tea or fun idea but I created a soap making set.  This isn’t just a basic thing with a campfire with a couple molds or something.  This set in its entirety can take you through the different phases of the process of making soap the old fashioned way. From gathering the ashes so you can make the lye, to the creation of said lye…. then onto the cooking, mixing, and rendering of the soap.  After all of that there is also a piece for pouring the soap into the molds.

There’s four distinct pieces to the set each one with an embedded animation that is adjustable through menu… you know how much I try to avoid using poseballs if I can help it, helping create that immersive air for interactions.  I think this set could be used by a lot of different types.  Rustic and all, of course a slave chore but it could be used for those that have a business making soap or perfumes too.  I can see all sorts of opportunity when you take a little bit of an effort… then pour it into something else.

It can be purchased as a set or individually if you only want a piece or two.
