Thank you!

I saw these before but hadn’t blogged about it.

Silks of SL reviewed three of my outfits recently.  It’s always a bit daunting for me when I see em, sit up a lil straighter.  There’s always some pics of the outfits which I have to look over hopin that the things look as good on someone else than when I try to create them.

It’s so cool seeing people that take the time to write and post about things.  The outfits that were reviewed are the Anysia silks, Midice silks, and the Volupia Netted Livery… very cool, thank you so much for taking the time and the feedback.

Another blog that creeped up and caught my eye recently is the Feeling Lucky one.  Olympia Oakleaf posts lil blurbs about places and their prize offerings for lucky chair etc.  I swear this past week when I changed my lucky chair prize within minutes the blog was updated with a photo of the latest I had put in there. LOL  Fun stuff!

I appreciate the work folks put into blogging, reviewing, and all of that.  Usually don’t ask for anything in return, do lots of work, and do help us out.  So Thank You!!

Thank you Sasy!

Today I logged in to an IM with a webpage URL pasted into it, no message or anything but curiosity got the better of me so I googled the domain to see what it was.  It was for a blog and entries were fashion related so I figured… ok I’ll click.

Imagine my surprise when there in front of me is a post titled Camisk Elegance, and featured within the pages is my Zhen Banded Camisk in two different colors.  I’m so thrilled that Sasy found my place and that she liked the top!  It’s always great to get feedback and I’m truly grateful for the effort that bloggers go through to highlight or showcase different creators or designers.  It’s just awesome.

I like that camisk in particular myself, I love how the colors came out and have always thought it was a rather elegant offering in that line of clothing.

So thank you very much Sasy!

Woohoo, I was featured!

Have you noticed lately that I’ve been a little hyper?  I think it is a combination of lack of sleep, and a few other things but wow I was shocked the other day to stumble across a blog that had the limited edition Midice silks and kirtle sets pictured in one of their posts!

I think that Chic had barely finished the post before I found it… it is sort of a funny story really, (and hers on the blog is pretty cool too), I was wandering the web trying to think of something to make for the Gor hunt… I had a couple things but I wanted something else too… so I decided to check my favorites in my browser.  Links come and go quickly just like stores move round in Second Life faster than you can keep up with the landmarks in your folders.  So I clicked on one of the fashion feeds, and right there… the second one on the front page was a very lovely lady posed in my silks!

Doesn't she look lovely?

Can you imagine really?  I was floored… I near fainted really.  Nervously I clicked on the link, wincing the whole time going… “oohh wow….”  You see, I don’t know if ya’ll know this but I’m pretty humbled when I stumble across something like that.  I really don’t expect to see it.  I love creating and I get so wrapped up in my workshop working or my nose buried deep in a program working on textures that when I see someone enjoying or liking my stuff I get all excited.  So silly but it is part of the fun of the whole thing, especially when you don’t expect it!

So I left a little comment and the funny thing is they were going to send me a notecard to let me know I’d been featured but they hadn’t even been able to get that far cuz I already had found it.  *laughs!*  It was nice and I’m so glad that folks are enjoying the offering in the lucky chairs this month.  Check out the Chic at Phil’s Place Blog, they do regular posts on fashion, freebies and hunt items.

If you review my stuff or write a post, don’t hesitate to let me know… I like the feedback and sometimes even write you up too!  *smiles*

Woot!  They did a lil blurb about my prize for the fall hunt too!  LOL  What a week… Happy Friday!

Shopping & skins!

In Review, Meanderings No Comments »

Oh there’s nothing really new at the store today.  I’ve been skin shopping, it’s a tedious task at times because yanno… you try on a million demos and in general I will tell you that I find very few that I like.  Very few designers, and very few that ever look “right” to me for the mood I’m in at the time.

I am a self professed hair and skin whore.  I suppose when you end up being naked a lot, taking a lot of pictures, or whatever you end up paying a little bit more attention to things like hair and skin.  At least I do, and a part of it I think is trying to find a ‘you’ that you feel comfy in while you’re enjoying your SL.

LAQ Tasha Glow Skin in Nougat

I’m writing today cuz I found a nice pack of skins that won’t break the bank for most of ya’ll.  Skins are face it, expensive.  It’s hard finding a good skin, and then forking over the money even though it is generally money well spent… how often do we really buy skins anyhow.  Well, except me… I buy them too often.

*coughs*

Anyways…..

At LAQ, that is Laqroki but most can’t ever remember how to spell their name after they changed it awhile back, there is a couple new sets of skins in their Glow line that is not all that expensive.  You can get a set of 10 skins priced at just under 2,000L… that’s not bad.  Three shades sold seperately… a light type, medium type and then a tanner one.  Couple different looks, I’m only posting a picture of the one.  One drawback, you can’t purchase the skins seperate but yanno…. sometimes you can spend 2k or more for just ONE skin… let alone 10 so it evens out somewhere.

Soooooo why did I post this?  erm… I don’t know.  I feel for all those people trying to find a decent skin?  Or maybe I’m feeling generous…. or maybe I’m just thinking that a lot of people like to look good without having to spend a ton.  I really don’t know, but hey it doesn’t hurt.  I figure if I feel like posting it then go with it.  I’m a strong believer in following your gut.  *nods lots*  And no I didn’t buy this set!!  LOL  Actually I’m looking for a different look but thought these were done well and the price was right, I just wanted to share.

Anyhoooooooooo……. Happy shopping and have fun!

Yay!! Fixed!!

I had to fix my blog, I couldn’t get into the admin area so I wasn’t able to do updates on it like I wanted to.

Egads what a pain in the backside.  Soooooo much to say, and soooooooo much has happened!

I’ve been blogged about a couple times this week too!  Yanno, whenever that happens I always feel really teeny tiny.  Silks of Second Life blogged about my harvest bag chore attachment.  Thank you so much!  I appreciate the feedback.

I was told about a german blog that highlighted the hunt gift that I made for the SL Discovery hunt.

And then I found quite by accident by clicking through profiles another blog that highlighted a couple things from my place too.  Bound by Silk blog has a wee little post about the kirtle I just released and the camisk I made for the Gorean hunt that ends tomorrow.  Looks like a new blog, I wish the author the best of luck!!

As far as updates!  Woot!! The new store is complete and opened up!!  Will write a new post just for that in a lil bit.
