I’ll bet you didn’t know that Roawenwood is going to be three years old in October.

I’ve been pretty quiet lately because this has been on my mind a lot.

Wow huh?  Roawenwood began under a different name the third week of October in 2006, three years ago… I rebranded shortly after becoming the name I have now and stuck with it through it all.  I started out on a small little plot even though I was pretty new to SL, I just couldn’t help myself.. I wanted to create and see if I could make this store thing work.  It’s amazing what I’ve accomplished and what has come around over that time period.  I am so very glad to still be doing well and it’s probably shocking I haven’t run out of things to say or do!

I am trying to come up with some appropriately good things for the month of October…. any and all ideas are welcome though I do have some myself already.

The monthly picks contest prize is going to be upped for the month…. I am mulling over a contest or two…. some new releases, and maybe one or two other things.

Three years!

Time really flies.

Heya ya’ll.  I’m going to be offline from 8/12 till late 8/14.  I’m taking a lil roadtrip with the family and I won’t be around or checking my messages for those couple of days.

I’ll be back late on the 14th or early on the 15th.

Leave me messages and notecards… I’ll take care of everything as soon as I return.

I hope everyone is doing well.   Been so sick this past week so not a whole lot is getting done but that doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about it.

This coming week is going to be a real busy one for me so hopefully I can get some updates done or something new in the store.  I tend to put out new things constantly without updating the blog for every little thing.

I’m trying to come up with a new look for my place.  I like the buildings I’m using but the layout is bothering me some.  And I think I’m sick of the snow on the sim.  I think it’s time to bring back some color.  Nice and green, and bring back some warm weather feelings!  I have so much snow in real life I don’t think I want it for extra time in my second life too.

I’ve had an update group open for people to hear about offers and things since the beginning.  I never really have had a large group, a small number of customers who would come and go.  I have mulled over changing to a subscription service type thing so perhaps more people would be interested and not have to use up a precious group slot, or have annoying group chat.

Well I’ve finally gone ahead and gotten it done.  Down near the front of the store where you first port in there is a subscription kiosk.  Really easy to use, click the subscribe or unsubscribe button accordingly and you’re all set.

I’ll be sending updates, gifts, sale notices and all of that just like I do in my normal group… I don’t think I’ll close the group in Second Life.  If I have group discounts or something then it will still be needed since some scripts use groups for that sort of thing.
